PK & I got our hands carved in wax…

………at The Madame Tussauds Museum  – Sydney… yay!!!! They asked us to hold our hands tightly & then dip it in warm liquid wax, then in water, again in wax & again in water, do like this for about 5 times. Then they asked us to take out our hands from the molded wax, you can see in the picture below how it looks, it is really a beautiful memory for both of us, I will put this in the transparent box in the show-case in our new house 🙂

They have opened the Museum in Sydney few months ago.  I remember reading about this Museums & unveiling of the wax statues but never thought I will visit it once in my life.  I have been asking PK to make a plan but all our weekends are pretty hectic due to meetings with builders and bank & then cleaning & grocery shopping & attending other get to gathers.

We had already relaxed on Saturday, finished our cleaning & grocery shopping tasks. We also watched English-Vinglish while eating homemade bread pizzas & drinking water melon juice.

So, on Sunday morning, we decided to visit the Madame Tussauds Museum.  The experience was amazing – starting with Red carpet entry with flashes of cameras, meeting some famous personalities like Mahatma Gandhi, Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai, Kareena Kapoor, Shahrukh Khan, Hritik Roshan, Dalai Lama, Nelson Mandela, Obama, Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Miranda Kerr, Brangelina, Kylie & Danii Minogue and many more…

It was so much fun but we both got tired clicking pics of each other. We purchased some souvenirs like fridge magnet, photo frame & photo album and came out after about 3 hours. Had brunch of sandwiches & coffee & brownie & then headed to Sydney Aquarium.

I was amazed to see the beautiful colours of the fishes, different types of sea creatures like sharks, dolphins, sting rays, crabs, sea horses, frogs, giant prawns & turtles & what not.. It is amazing how these creatures keep on swimming in the water without getting tired lol

So, we came out of aquarium after about another 2 hours and went to the Lindt Chocolate cafe. I had hot chocolate & PK ordered Chocolate Milk Shake & we both shared Lindt White chocolate ice cream with warm waffles & melted chocolate.. yummerz!!!!

Then we went & sat on the stairs near the water, holding hands & talking till the sunset then decided to head back to home as we had to prepare for next day like PK had to iron his formal wear & I had to prepare lunch for next day.

The trains in Sydney, I tell you, it was so hectic travel back to home after changing three trains due to track work going on in the city, train driver announced , train was now cancelled for the day, move to another platform, when we went to another platform they said move to yet another platform 😦

Oh, forgot to mention that PK forgot to take his jacket from home so we went to buy one for him as it was pretty chilly outside. We bought a jacket & 4 T-shirts for him before even going to Madame Tussauds & we also ate Sushi, I had Veggie & Avocado one & PK ate Chicken & Avocado 🙂

I will leave you with some of the pics, hope you will enjoy 🙂

Wowow such an awesome weekend you had. Madame Tussauds is good eh, must plan a visit to one sometime, sounds great.

And we had been to the Monterey bay aquarium here few months back, it was my first experience and it was amazing, we had lots of fun and spent a long time looking at different kinds of sea life.

The wax thing looks cool, we too saw it at a fair but did not pay interest. Was it so nice ? Let me tell Ox and try it next time.

And all that food you described is making me drool. 🙂

    • I had been to the Chidiya ghar & Machli ghar when I was a kid, but visit to the aquarium is such a different experience no…
yes yes Jazz, you and Ox should really try the wax thing.. it is so much fun, warm wax does not hurts at all.. It is such a wonderful memory 🙂

Wow, that wax replica of you both holding hands looks amazing…

  3. Madame Tussauds Museum is fun, I visited one in new york and loved it. For some reason(or may be you reduced on purpose) the pictures are extremely small, couldn’t get a good glimpse of the wax model. Aquarium is always fun, makes us little girls isn’t it? Lindt milk chocolate are my favorite too. Now I get to go home and eat one 🙂

Have something to say?? :-)
